Responsibilities
:
Responsible for teaching course content and preparing and maintaining appropriate records and syllabi for all assigned courses. The instructor will provide effective instruction in mandated and non‑mandated law enforcement and correctional classes, instructing police officers, deputy sheriffs, detention officers, telecommunicators, and certified correctional staff.
Typical Qualifications
:
Requires a combination of education and law enforcement and/or correctional experience; certification as a general/specialized instructor with the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission. Must maintain Department of Correction security clearance.
