OverviewThe Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) at the Niels Bohr Institute, Faculty of Science at the University of Copenhagen, is looking for a student assistant with effect from 15 March 2026 or after agreement.
About us:
we are a talented and diverse international team working at the forefront of quantum science, based in Copenhagen. At the Niels Bohr Institute we are building the Novo Nordisk Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP), a world-leading initiative in quantum computing. NQCP drives research and innovation across the full quantum stack, from scalable quantum processor technologies to quantum-classical control and readout systems, and to quantum algorithms and real-world applications.
Role
The student will be part of the administration team and will support the daily operations of the program. You will work closely with the administrative coordinators and contribute to creating a welcoming and well-functioning environment for staff, students and visitors.
Your Tasks- Help with the practicalities of events
- Ordering of milk, fruit and office supplies
- Ensure kitchens and coffee machines are clean and tidy
- Lighter administrative tasks
- Initiative and curiosity
- Responsibility and ability to manage practical tasks associated with the role
- Focus on solutions, proactive attitude

Terms of salary and employmentThe employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees (the OAO-S collective agreement) and under the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and IT officers in the state. The minimum wage is DKK 142,97 (1 November 2025 level). Salary will be based on seniority. The employment period is one year.
The place of work is NQCP, Blegdamsvej 19-21, 2100 Copenhagen. The average number of working hours is 15 hours per week. Availability on weekdays in the morning hours is expected; remaining hours will be flexible and scheduled as needed. Appointment is subject to receipt of a security clearance. The employment is contingent on you being an active student.
