Substitute, Child Development Center (POOL)

Under general supervision, responsible for the planning and execution of the daily program for all children under the guidance and direction of the Director, Lead Teacher, and Teacher. This responsibility is multi‑faceted and extends from planning educational experiences for the children to health and first‑aid care; from discipline to room clean up.

• Assist the Director, Lead Teacher, and Teacher in planning and conducting activities for the children based on the objectives of the Center and the needs of each child.
• Assist in the supervision of children during snack, lunch periods and playground activities; teach personal hygiene; help prepare cots/mats for nap time.
• Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for each child enrolled.
• Assist in fostering positive functioning of children and adults in a group environment.
• Sanitize tables, keep floors clean; maintain vacuum, mop, empty trash and clean and sanitize bathrooms and sinks as needed.

Qualifications: High School Diploma, one‑year early childhood experience in a childcare setting.

Physical Demands: This job requires continuously talking or hearing, frequently standing and frequently walking. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
