Position Summary
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is hiring adjunct faculty to teach courses in our Communications program. Faculty may teach COM 110, COM 231, COM 140, COM 150, and/or COM 120 face-to-face on campus in Concord, Salisbury, and/or Kannapolis. This is not an online-only position, but may include online, hyflex, or hybrid classes in the future. All interested applicants must be able to teach in-person, or you will not be considered for the position.
Required
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree in Communication or Communication Studies; or master’s degree with a concentration in Communication (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline – COM).

Duty and Responsibility
Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content in order to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.Work collaboratively with the College’s support services to identify and address the students’ academic support needs.Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes; this includes but is not limited to the College’s learning management system, email and calendaring solution, document management system(s), student information system, and employee portals.Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.When applicable, ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty and staff.#J-18808-Ljbffr
