High School English Teacher – Falls Lake Academy

Falls Lake Academy seeks an innovative, project‑based learning teacher to inspire students across high school English courses.

• Design and implement engaging project‑based learning experiences aligned with curriculum standards and student interests.
• Facilitate student‑centered instruction that promotes inquiry, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills.
• Mentor and guide students through the entire project lifecycle, from ideation and planning to execution and reflection.
• Foster a collaborative classroom environment where students work together to tackle real‑world challenges and develop 21st‑century skills.
• Provide ongoing support and feedback to help students achieve project goals and academic objectives.
• Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary concepts and promote cross‑curricular connections.
• Utilize technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences and facilitate student research and exploration.
• Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including project presentations, portfolios, and performance assessments.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents, and stakeholders regarding student progress and program initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in project‑based learning and educational trends.

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for innovative teaching practices and student‑centered learning.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.

• Valid teaching certification/license.
• Demonstrated experience with project‑based learning pedagogy and instructional design.
