Optometrist - NC - Bern​/Wilmington

An optometrist is needed to provide quality eye care to seniors.

Optometrist’s responsibilities include analyzing vision, identifying sight problems, and prescribing corrective lenses and eyeglasses. The ideal candidate will provide a high level of quality care blended with compassion.

• Conduct routine eye exams, refractions, and vision screenings.
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and conditions common among geriatric patients.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and coordinate with optical labs as needed.
• Educate patients and facility staff on eye health and preventive care practices.

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree.
• Active state optometry license in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; geriatric or mobile care experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic skills in ocular disease management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• 1 to 2 visits per month.
• Preferred availability on weekdays, Monday through Friday.
• Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.
