Location: Kenansville

A community hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a BE/BC Med‑Peds or Internal Medicine physician to join a high cer‑quality hospitalist program in a nocturnist role. This opportunity offers a supportive practice environment with an established inpatient team. New graduates and visa candidates are welcome to apply.

Highlights
  • Employed hospitalist position
  • Practice based at an 81‑bed community hospital
  • Established Med‑Peds hospitalist program with 6 physicians and 1 advancedzny practice provider
  • Flexible scheduling: (3) 14‑hour shifts per week or (6) 14‑hour shifts every other week
  • Coverage of a 9‑bed open ICU with tele‑intensivist support
  • ICU responsibilities include ventilator management, lumbar punctures, and central line placement
  • Fully integrated EPIC electronic health record
  • Strong specialty support including General Surgery, Cardiology, ENT, Orthopedics, OBomod, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Sleep Medicine, Speech Therapy, and Physical Therapy
  • Average nightly admission volume of approximately 6 patients

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Internal Medicine or Med‑Pediatrics
  • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges
  • Interest in nocturnist practice and inpatient medicine
  • Comfortable managing ICU‑level patients, including ventilator management, central line placement, and lumbar punctures
  • Strong clinical decision‑making skills in an acute care setting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with nursing staff, specialists, and tele‑intensivist support
  • Commitment to high‑quality, patient‑centered care
