Job Overview:
The Photo Planner drives the efficient workflow for Product Detail Pages (PDP) at a high level, ensuring a smooth flow of process. Primary responsibility with photography in collaboration with Copy, Retouching, and Site Merchandising to keep the workflow on track. Partners with Art Directors, Copy, the Merchandise Marketing Coordinators, the Warehouse and Merchants to keep all informed of process and progress.
The Photo Planner is the point person for all things that concern the PDP process and is a go-to person for trouble shooting, problem solving and innovative improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Identify merchandise from the warehouse inventory that needs to be photographed for our site and allocate resources to shooting product within established deadlines
- Troubleshoot image, product, sample and UPC information to ensure product is accurately depicted for the customer
- Manage weekly sample turn-in meetings, including ensuring the integrity of photo related product information
- Create and manage production schedule for PDP workflow and deadlines
- Document key product features and benefits for copy
- Discover and execute improvements that create workload efficiency to the PDP process/workflow
- Manage daily image approvals. Escalate inconsistencies and training opportunities
- Support reporting/analytical needs to identify opportunities and measure success
- Manage all other logistical or operational needs of the warehouse photo studio
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
- 1-2 years related experience
- Practices open and continuous communication, values keeping others informed, effectively presenting information in a clear, concise manner
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across functional lines and at many levels
- Ability to think creatively, strategically, and technically
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and Company needs
- Proficiency in Excel
Physical Requirements:
- Requires prolonged periods of sitting, with occasional standing
- Occasionally requires walking, bending, reaching, hearing, and talking
- Continuous use of computers and other office equipment
