ITG Communications, LLC presents an opportunity to lead and coordinate construction projects including new builds, rebuilds, extensions, and expansions. The role ensures projects meet established standards, managing materials, labor, and resource allocation.
Responsibilities- Compiles and coordinates all phases of construction projects including pre‑construction meetings, site surveys, permit and license applications, make‑ready, design and documentation, material procurement, contract labor requirements, and plant activation.
- Plans all facets of the construction process, rendering decisions on workflow, production planning and control, material and labor cost control.
- Works closely with upper management and participates to ensure the execution of projects.
- Creates cost estimates, monitors job costs, evaluates change orders, and controls the cost of work in progress against the budget.
- Supports technicians and the leadership team with coordination of projects.
- Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
- Reviews, resolves, and follows up on customer requests and complaints.
- Assists with the annual plant construction budget.
- Performs field ride‑out/walk‑outs to survey, gather details, find solutions, monitor progress, and conduct post‑construction reviews.
- Coordinates, meets, and interacts with government officials, utilities, contractors, outside agencies, consultants, and internal partners to achieve project goals.
- Provides technical advice and engineering support to other departments:
Procurement, Warehouse, Legal, Government Relations, and Design Center functions. - Applies knowledge of the National Electric Codes.
- Oversees activity of subcontractors and monitors performance of construction crews against established goals.
- Maintains regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; must be able to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Relevant Work Experience
- 2‑5 years cable construction (coax and fiber) with a steady work history.
- 2‑5 years supervisory experience with a steady work history.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Smartsheet.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Knowledge of the physical construction and design of aerial and underground cable plant, including coax & fiber.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
