American Civil Constructors, established in 1987, is a heavy civil construction company qualified to bid and perform work for State DOTs and City & County Public Works agencies across the United United States. We are currently hiring for a full‑time Project Manager to work out of our McLeansville, NC office. This full‑time, year‑round position is split between office and field, requires travel to local and nationwide projects, and is a non‑union management level role within the Operations Department.

Responsibilities
  • Scheduling; tracking production and inventory.
  • Handling subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinating & supervising varying work schedules (day/night) and crew mobilizations from job to job.
  • Working closely with project owners, prime contractors, inspectors, field engineers, field superintendents and subcontractors/suppliers to successfully complete construction projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a heavy civil construction company, ideally with bridge and/or pavement overlay work; other experience considered.
  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and employee‑management skills; excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel; willingness to mentor junior engineers; teamwork, communication, enthusiasm, multi‑tasking, and coordination abilities are essential. Prior Primavera P6 experience is highly desired but not required. Valid driver’s license and minimum 2‑year driving history.
  • Desired experience: 5+ years in construction management.
