Residential Remodeling​/Construction Estimator

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team! In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. While Estimating experience is a plus, we believe it can be taught, and value residential construction experience as the most important qualification for the role. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of residential construction and remodeling experience, is analytical, and detail-oriented.

• Fully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with the design team, and visiting job sites
• Collect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, product selections, and project specifications
• Determine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costs
• Gather quotes and negotiate with subcontractors to secure the best possible prices
• Perform quantity take-offs, double check sub-contractor takeoffs
• Create and submit estimates to the design team throughout the design process
• Assist in preparing proposals
• Budget using appropriate software
• Order take-off materials as clients move from design into production

• 10+ years of residential construction experience
• Previous experience as an Estimator is a plus
• Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Good computer skills, specifically with Excel
• Excellent research, writing, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills
