Sales Director

The Greystone Inn, a premier lakeside resort in the mountains of Western North Carolina, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Sales to lead and grow the property’s sales efforts. This role will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue, expand market presence, and position The Greystone Inn as a premier destination for leisure travel, weddings, and group events.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic sales leader who thrives in a boutique luxury environment and understands how to build meaningful relationships, identify market opportunities, and lead a high-performing sales team.

• Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to grow group, leisure, and event revenue
• Identify market trends and conduct competitor analysis to uncover new business opportunities
• Lead and oversee daily operations of the sales department
• Prepare sales forecasts, operational reports, and financial performance updates
• Build strong relationships with travel partners, corporate clients, wedding planners, and event organizers
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to maximize exposure and profitability
• Coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives across departments
• Mentor, develop, and support the growth of sales team members
• Represent The Greystone Inn at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience

• Minimum 3 years of sales leadership or management experience
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Proven ability to develop successful sales strategies and drive revenue growth
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
• Strong analytical and reporting skills
