Position Summary
The position will distribute/print all orders for shipping and will provide Bill of Ladings for completed orders. Clerk Expeditor involves detailed work in completing daily tasks of which include a variety of routine office support functions. The position will back up as a Ticket Expeditor and Warehouse Systems Operator when required.
Position responsibilities- Answer incoming phone calls
- Answer the doorbell, greet drivers and assign dock door
- Daily usage of AS400 program
- Print releases for shipping
- Ticket Maintenance
- Print Bill of Ladings/Custom Documents/Truck Manifests
- Provide the Pullers with orders
- Communicate via phone/email with customer service representatives
- Email shipping/trailer info to trucking companies
- Sign-In/Out our switcher
- Prepare printed Bill of Ladings for shipments
- Provide prepared paperwork to drivers
- Occasional use of RF Scanners
- Daily usage of 2-Way Radios
- Ticket Expeditors
- Floor Leads/Supervisor/Manger
- Assist with processing Fed Ex and UPS shipments
- Training on the Ticket Expeditor position and the Warehouse Systems Operator for backup purposes
- Follows all safety procedures and policies and advises supervision of any unsafe conditions.
- Any other duties as requested by supervisor.
- PC and knowledge of Windows
- RF Scanner usage preferred
- Good communication skills required
- Fed Ex Ship Manager/UPS World Ship knowledge preferred
- Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
