• Test systems and components to ensure security and proper function
• Identify potential issues with systems or components
• Drive vehicles for testing and inspect/refill fluids as needed
• Check tire pressure, clean and lubricate fittings
• Install new oil drain plugs and filters, communicate oil levels
• Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately
• Replace worn parts proactively
• Use power tools, machine tools, and hand tools for tasks

• Strong understanding of automobiles and diagnostic skills
• Effective analytical and communication skills
• Ability to learn new technologies and procedures
• Operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• At least one year in a service department
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
