As a Receptionist, you will serve as the primary reception and information resource for the assigned location by assisting walk‑in traffic and answering telephone inquiries.
You will also provide supplementary clerical, computer, and operational support to the school, acting as the focal point for the school.
- Lead by example in adherence to CSUSA and the school’s Vision, Mission, and Values, demonstrated by acting ethically and promoting a team concept.
- Follow through on duties and assigned projects.
- Participate in and complete training programs to increase skill and proficiency related to assignments.
- Review current developments, literature, and technical sources of information related to job responsibilities.
- Follow company policies and federal and state laws.
- Ensure adherence to good safety procedures.
- Consult directly with CSUSA personnel when applicable.
- Greet and direct walk‑in traffic, providing general information and making referrals to offices and services as appropriate.
- Answer phone inquiries by providing general information or connecting calls to appropriate offices and services.
- Maintain a master guide of activities, events, and related information for the school.
- Perform various clerical tasks, including scheduling and maintaining records of school activities, tracking student attendance, checking supplies and materials in/out, photocopying, typing, data entry, sorting mail, creating file folders, and transmitting/receiving fax documents and email.
- Schedule appointments and meetings, including reserving conference rooms and facilities, organizing materials, sending out meeting notices, arranging catering services, and maintaining calendars.
- Respond to telephone requests for specific materials to be mailed and assist with mailing general school information to parents.
- Respond to telephone and written requests for school information.
- Maintain confidentiality of records as appropriate.
- Serve as liaison for administrators and teachers.
- Ensure the front office is organized and that information sheets for parents are stocked.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies, ordering from outside vendors or bookstores as needed within budget and with direction from the Principal or Business Administrator.
- Provide passes to students as appropriate.
- Orient and situate substitute teachers.
- Call parents on the waiting list when an opening at the school arises.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in a school office setting highly desired.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent organization, time‑management, and follow‑up skills.
- Ability to present a professional office with great customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and ability to collaborate with others while maintaining a pleasant working environment.
- Detail oriented.
- Bilingual a plus, but not required.
- Understanding of and commitment to company values.
- Successful completion of criminal and employment background checks.
- Ability and willingness to take directions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, courteous, professional, and helpful to all stakeholders.
