Position

Summary

The primary location of this position is the main Cullowhee, NC campus. The Administrative Support Specialist plays a critical role within Advancement Services by ensuring the accurate, timely, and consistent entry, maintenance, and reporting of donor, alumni, and membership records in the University's donor database (Raiser's Edge NXT). This position supports the integrity of constituent data used across the Division of Advancement and provides direct support for Catamount Club and other University giving societies.

The role supports year‑round divisional needs, with focused responsibility for membership tracking, particularly for the Catamount Club and Belcher College Friends of the Arts. The position reports to the Director of Advancement Data Operations and is a member of the Data Operations team within the Advancement Services unit. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

  • Strong attention to detail with a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies and make decisions with guidance as needed.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and tact.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and technology tools, including familiarity with Raiser's Edge NXT and internal Advancement Services procedures.
  • Knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, best practices in the advancement services industry.
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Compensation & Employment Details
  • Anticipated Hiring Range: $47,500
  • Salary Band Range: $34,602 – $58,870
  • Position Type: Permanent Full‑Time
  • Number of Hours per Week: 40
  • Number of Months per Year: 12
  • Salary Grade: Advanced-level position considered Salary Grade 63 for administrative purposes during the implementation of Career Banding.
