Position Overview
Student Accounts Cashier (T00968). Temporary hourly position located primarily at the main Cullowhee campus. Pay is $17/hr, 25–30 hours per week. Employees are paid bi‑weekly on an hourly basis and do not receive benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Serve students, parents, and campus partners by answering questions and resolving issues related to student charges and collections.
- Process third‑party billing.
- Enter cash, credit card, and wire payments into Banner (Ellucian ERP).
- Operate and balance a cash drawer and prepare bank deposits.
- Answer student account inquiries in compliance with applicable policies, state and federal laws.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional interaction with faculty, staff, and others.
- Integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, follow standard operating procedures, and meet reporting deadlines.
- Ability to retain and apply detailed policies and procedures consistently and independently.
High school diploma or equivalency plus one year of cashiering experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in higher education and cashiering is preferred. Familiarity with Banner or an equivalent ERP system is ideal.
