Tax Associate

Overview

Tax Associate at H&R Block. This role provides tax training and the opportunity for growth within a supportive, client-focused environment.

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, email)
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services
• Provide clients with IRS support
• Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
• Grow your tax expertise

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (preferred)
• Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment
• Experience working in a fast-paced, supportive environment
• Ability to work a minimum of 25–35 hours weekly throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks
• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (or enrollment/in completion)
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, and chat)
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, by phone, and in writing
• Must meet all other IRS and applicable state requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher
