Tax Professional - Franchise

Overview

Seasonal Tax Professional position with H&R Block. You will serve clients with diverse tax needs with the support of an expert team and receive advanced tax training.

• Inspire clients to make confident, informed decisions about their lives, careers, and money and build client relationships that grow stronger over time.
• Serve clients with diverse tax needs, conducting tax interviews (in person and via virtual tools) and preparing complete and accurate tax returns.
• Generate business growth, increase client retention, and offer additional products and services.
• Provide clients with IRS support when needed.
• Mentor and support teammates.
• Deliver tax notice services (all certification levels) and audit representation (Circular 230 associates).

• Conduct tax interviews with clients face to face and through virtual tools — video, phone, chat, email.
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns.
• Experience with tax planning and audit support.
• Experience completing returns for individuals, trusts, and partnerships.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience with virtual tax interviews.
• Sales and/or marketing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent certification.
• Experience with complex returns (individual, trust, partnership).
• Enrollment in or completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment (not a guarantee of employment).
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• Ability to effectively communicate in person, via phone, and in writing.
• Comfort working with virtual tools (video, phone, chat).
• Must complete continuing education requirements and meet IRS and applicable state requirements.

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• Experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or tax.
• Experience completing individual returns.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform tax-related tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills.
