Sales Representative Professional Landscaping & Outdoor Power Equipment
Ag-Pro Companies is seeking an experienced professional landscaper-turned-sales expert to drive revenue by selling a full line of new and used outdoor power equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, skid steers, compact tractors, utility vehicles, and attachments) exclusively to landscaping contractors & grounds maintenance crews. This is a field-based sales role for someone who speaks the language of the green industry, understands job-site realities, and can close deals by matching the right machine to the crew's workload.
Key Responsibilities- Sell the tools landscapers live by new and used zero-turns, walk-behinds, stand-ons, skid-steers, stump grinders, aerators, and turf care equipment to new prospects and existing accounts in your protected territory.
- Stay ahead of the competition, monitor rival brands, pricing, and promotions; report market intel to management in real time.
- Own your CRM, maintain accurate customer profiles, equipment fleets, purchase history, and forecast pipeline in the company sales system.
- Read the jobsite pulse, track seasonal workload shifts, crew expansions, and equipment replacement cycles; turn insights into proactive sales opportunities.
- Close with financing confidence by presenting lease, loan, and rental-credit options that fit cash-flow realities of landscaping businesses.
- Sharpen your edge by attending factory training, regional ride‑and‑drives, and GIE+EXPO‑style events to demo the latest tech and features.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- 12 years selling ag/landscape power equipment (or 3+ years running your own landscaping company with deep equipment knowledge).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based CRM/portals.
- Flexible schedule: early mornings, Saturdays during peak season, and occasional overnight travel for training/shows.
- Proven ability to build and keep contractor relationships that last for decades.
- Skill to read basic P&L reports, fleet utilization data, and sales dashboards.
