Manufacturing Engineering Technician - 3rd Shift

Position Purpose

Develop programs and parameters for production processes including fabricating and machining systems; tooling design, assembly and rebuild; and development support. This will include maintenance responsibilities for repairing and rebuilding equipment that is part of the Vehicle Technology Group. (VTG)

• Assemble the automatic and manually operated machining fixtures and tooling.
• Responsible for repair of equipment and facilities in the Canton VTG facility.
• Build components from hand sketches, prints or verbal instruction.
• Build, install, and debug electrical panels, enclosures, and equipment.
• Responsible for operations and skills outside of established procedures.
• Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
• Develop process documentation and systems to maintain equipment and facilities.
• Assist in the development of quality systems for new products and processes.
• Assist in the daily troubleshooting of robotic or tooling problems.
• Assist with maintenance area for plant/building.

• Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience; associate degree in related field is highly desirable.
• Experience and demonstration of capability in Hendrickson manufacturing operation can offset degree preference.

• Excellent demonstrated mechanical ability required.
• Ability to read and create blueprints.
• Robotic and/or PLC programming experience required.
• Electrical maintenance background required.
