HMC Machining Specialist — Mazatrol​/Celos

Overview

Make precision happen. Join us to turn complex prints into finished metal components on CNC Horizontal Machining Centers and CNC Boring Mills. If you thrive on programming, meticulous setups, and lights-out repeatability, this is your craft.

• Program, set up, and run CNC HMCs or Boring Mills with unwavering attention to quality, safety, and documentation.
• Author/edit programs using Mazatrol or Celos, as well as G- and M-code and other conversational controls, based on drawings and GD&T.
• Preferred experience:
  
  Mazatrol 640M, Mazatrol Smooth, Tosnuc, or Celos.
• Install and align tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces with precision instruments and hand tools.
• Review blueprints/program specs to define operations, sequences, and final dimensions.
• Load programs from server to CNC via network; insert control instructions and validate before cycle start.
• Initiate and monitor machining cycles; verify coolant and lubrication; log operational data.
• Measure parts using micrometers, gauges, templates, and fixtures; adjust tools/machine to meet spec.
• Inspect for flaws (chipped edges, marred surfaces) and segregate nonconforming pieces by defect type.
• Stop machines to remove parts or to change tooling, setup, or placement per defined sequences.
• Identify sounds indicating wear or vibration; replace dull tools and adjust offsets/feeds/speeds as needed.
• Perform offsets and program adjustments to execute one or more machining functions on metal work pieces.
• Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned.

• Production/process knowledge: materials, QC, costs, and throughput optimization.
• Math fluency: trig, algebra, and geometry in practical machining contexts.

• Control precision, rate control, reaction time.
• Manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and close-in visual acuity.
• Problem sensitivity to detect abnormal conditions early.
• Deductive reasoning and perceptual speed for quick, accurate comparisons.
