About The OpportunityThis is an open position with the First Energy Service Company, a subsidiary of First Energy Corporation, located at the Akron‑Canton airport (KCAK). We are a FAR Part 91, ISBAO Stage III certified flight department operating turbine‑powered large cabin fixed‑wing and rotor‑wing aircraft. The Aircraft Maintenance Technician reports to the Manager of Flight Maintenance and will be responsible for performing maintenance on company aircraft in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommended maintenance program, while ensuring compliance with the FARs, company values and department policies.
Responsibilities- Work within Flight Operations to maintain a culture of high‑level safety and customer service.
- Maximize aircraft safety, operational availability and dispatch reliability by performing pre‑ and post‑flight inspections, scheduled and non‑routine maintenance on company aircraft and equipment.
- Create and manage return‑to‑service paperwork in digital format.
- Order, receive aircraft parts and consumables and process returns and related paperwork.
- Perform towing, marshalling and fueling of aircraft.
- Launch and recover aircraft, including handling passenger luggage.
- Perform routine cleaning of aircraft, equipment and facility.
- Operate and maintain the fuel farm.
- High school graduate or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred. - Valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Valid U.S. passport.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant license; IA preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Minimum 5 years of recent, relevant work experience, including maintenance of multi‑turbine engine fixed‑wing and/or rotor‑wing aircraft. Experience with Falcon 900LX and Bell 429 helicopter preferred.
- Experience maintaining Honeywell Primus Epic and Garmin avionics preferred.
- Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively; strong team player.
- Experience with Veryon and CAMP.
- Ability to work a rotating day, evening shift, weekends, holidays and after‑hours call‑outs.
- Ability to lift 70 pounds.
- Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding and man‑lifts.
- Ability to perform elevated work with fall protection.
- Ability to work in restricted or confined spaces.
- Must have thorough knowledge of and ability to demonstrate industry safety practices.
- Available for occasional travel to support offsite maintenance and events.
