Stark State College is looking for part-time adjuncts to teach in our Biology Department.
- Prepare and deliver day, evening, weekend, and web-based courses in any of the following biology courses: anatomy and physiology (introductory and cadaver-lab based), microbiology, medical terminology, general biology, and environmental science.
- We are especially interested in candidates who are willing to teach College Credit Plus and/or Dual Enrollment courses to high school students, either at a local high school or at our Downtown Canton location.
- Prepare and deliver day, evening, weekend, and web-based courses in any of the following biology courses: anatomy and physiology (introductory and cadaver-lab based), microbiology, medical terminology, general biology, and environmental science.
- Participate in mandatory college activities that support the department's and the college's missions.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of student populations.
- Additional responsibilities include preparing instructional materials and assessing student performance, including electronic submission of never attends, early alerts, mid-term grades, and final grades by the required dates.
- A master's degree in Biology, or a directly related field, is required.
- College-level teaching experience at a community college and experience teaching high school students are preferred.
- Must have excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work in a team-focused and student-centered environment is essential.
- Ability to use technology, including MS Office programs and Internet-delivered materials, is required.
- Enthusiasm for teaching and continuous professional development is highly valued.

The (STRS), was established to provide a secure retirement for Ohio's public educators. STRS is available to all faculty members. The College contributes 14% of the employee's wages for the retirement benefit and the employee contributes 14% of their wages toward the retirement benefit.
INSTRUCTIONAL FEES
All instructional and general fees for credit, audit, or non-credit courses offered at Stark State College will be paid by the College from the income of the College budgeted for employee benefits up to an amount per academic semester not to exceed such fees for six credit hours per semester.
