Teen & Family Program Lead
Position Overview
The Teen & Family Program Lead helps bring the Y's mission to life by creating fun, meaningful, and engaging programs for kids, teens, and families of all ages. This role is hands‑on, people‑focused, and rooted in youth development, character building, and community connection. If you love working with youth, building relationships, and making programs happen, this role is for you.
Schedule & Hours- Average 18–20 hours per week, very flexible scheduling
- Evening and weekend availability may be required
- $11.00–$14.00 – commensurate with experience
- Help plan, organize, and supervise a variety of Teen & Family programs that inspire fun, growth, and belonging
- Assist with programs that incorporate physical activity, mentorship, and YMCA character values
- Support and provide community service opportunities that empower youth to give back
- Coordinate and help run signature programs such as Kids Night Out, Parents' Day Out, and other family‑focused events
- Assist with scheduling and execution of facility rentals and special events
- Recruit and welcome new participants into Teen & Family programs
- Collaborate with directors to develop and implement engaging after school programs for teens
- Co‑lead the Teen Leaders Program, helping youth build leadership skills and confidence
- Support partnerships and collaborations with schools, organizations, and community groups
- Integrate YMCA core values:
Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility into all programs - Maintain CPR and First Aid certification
- Pitch in on additional duties as needed to support the overall mission and success of the YMCA
- High School Diploma required
- A genuine interest in and experience working with youth and teens
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, teens, families, and staff
- Knowledge of age‑appropriate activities and youth engagement strategies
- Strong organizational, clerical, and basic computer skills
- A positive attitude, flexibility, and a team‑first mindset
