STEM Instructor Job North Canton area,Ohio USA,Education / Teaching

* Instructors will help develop and implement a four-day themed STEM course appropriate for middle school students.

* Instructors are responsible for engagement of all students in the class as well as attendance and classroom management.

* Instructors will work with the STEM Summer Program Director and staff to request and order materials, complete necessary paperwork, and attend instructor training, as needed (approximately once/year).

* Instructor duties will include but are not limited to:

* Complete required training, fingerprinting, and background check

* Attend planning meetings

* Help develop experiential STEM themed content

* Deliver agreed upon content in an appropriate fashion.

* Classroom management of approximately 15-20 middle schoolers.

* This includes but is not limited to taking attendance, being responsible for students in your care, ensuring they are picked up by the proper guardian.

* Ensure safety protocols are followed.

* Participate in review of the course afterward for improvement for next year.

* Bachelors in a STEM field or a teaching license with a STEM focus.

* Middle school teaching experience preferred.

* Creativity and love of children a must!

* Knowledge of experiential STEM education.

* Ability to develop appropriate activities and implement classes for middle school students required.
