• 2 year Associate Degree in Accounting or related field (Years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.)
• Proficient in functions in Microsoft Excel.
• Occasional standing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs.

The Jr. Staff Accountant will be responsible managing incoming invoices and reconciling them with purchase orders provided by the purchasing department. They will also post period-end journal entries and assist with other projects as assigned.

• Monitors the AP email account for invoices and correspondence from vendors and responds appropriately.
• Prepare vendor payments by creating ACH batches on the banking platform and processing checks for mailing.
• Match inventory payments with invoices for accurate payments and filing related documents.
• Participate in the period-end close process by creating and posting journal entries.
• Provide backup for Accounts Receivable, Office Operations, and other Accounting functions as needed.
