The
Project Manager
is responsible for the successful execution of construction projects from handoff through completion. This role owns
project kickoff, scheduling, coordination, quality control, and customer communication
during construction.
Execution is the goal.
Project Managers are a
key customer point of contact during construction
and work closely with Design Consultants, subcontractors, internal crews, warehouses, and construction administration to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to company standards.
This role requires strong organization, field presence, and the ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Validation- Validate project scope, design details, access requirements, and job notes prior to construction
- Identify risks, constraints, or missing information before work begins
- Schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, CAD needs, and material bins in advance
- Coordinate with warehouses to ensure materials are staged, ordered, and delivered correctly
- Maintain forward-looking production schedules and forecasts
- Provide detailed planning for non-standard or complex installations
- Conduct routine job-site visits to monitor progress and quality
- Manage communication related to scope changes prior to and during construction
- Create change orders and coordinate with Design Consultants for customer approval
- Serve as a primary customer contact during construction
- Address questions, concerns, and updates in a timely and professional manner
- Escalate issues to management when appropriate to ensure resolution
- Perform quality inspections on completed and in-progress jobs
- Provide in-field coaching and feedback to crews and subcontractors as needed
- Provide weekly reports to management including:
- Budget status
- Production forecasts
- Schedule updates
- Identify process improvements and contribute to better project execution systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
(or equivalent experience) - 2+ years of construction project management experience
(required) - Experience in landscaping, hardscape, turf, or specialty construction preferred
- Strong understanding of construction workflows, scheduling, and subcontractor management
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with project management software and Google Workspace
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Spanish speaking highly preferred
This position will require frequent travel to job sites, ensuring hands‑on oversight of project progress and quality control.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $ per year
