Valeco Recruitment is working in partnership with a highly established and reputable legal firm in East Lothian to appoint a dedicated Conveyancing Paralegal for their busy team.

This is a rare opportunity to join a friendly, hands-on firm based in North Berwick-perfect for escaping the daily commute into Edinburgh!

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be an integral part of the team, supporting clients and Solicitors across East Lothian.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing transactions from start to finish.
• Drafting, preparing, and completing all necessary legal documentation (e.g., Offers, Missives, LBTT forms, Settlements).
• Conducting title checks, searches, and registrations.
• Liaising directly with clients, estate agents, lenders, and Solicitors.
• Assisting with general legal administration as required.

What You'll Bring

To succeed as our Conveyancing Paralegal, you must have:

• Experience:
  
  Proven, substantial experience as a Conveyancing Paralegal within a Scottish legal firm.
• Knowledge:
  Comprehensive understanding of the full conveyancing process in Scotland.
• Organisation:
  Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to manage a busy caseload effectively.
• Communication: A friendly, professional, and confident manner when dealing with clients.
• IT
  
  Skills:
  
  Proficiency with relevant case management systems and Microsoft Office.
