Security Technician II

Position Summary

Security Technician II is an experienced Field installation technician that works as part of a team to ensure that the project is completed according to project specs. The position interfaces with Operation team members to ensure goals and tasks are completed. The security Tech II is responsible for installing access control, CCTV and intrusion devices and cabling, Termination of head end equipment.

To be successful in this role you need to understand basic relay logic, basic network protocol, be self sufficient with time and task management.

• Able to follow instructions
• Ability to handle stressful situations (time constraints etc.)
• Basic math and communication skills
• Competent with hand and power tools
• Can identify cable and tools
• Aware of personal safety requirements
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and floor plans
• Able to install Door strikes and mag locks
• Basic understanding of frequencies
• Osha 10
• Take pride in their work product
• Able to walk and carry up to 50lbs unassisted
• Able to work at heights above 10ft
• Ability to travel at least 25% of the time
