West Medical - Full Time Days at Palisades Medical Center, North Bergen, New Jersey. Hackensack Meridian Health nurses provide care at bedsides across multiple facilities and care settings, delivering high-quality patient care in partnership with interdisciplinary teams.

• The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population to achieve desired outcomes. Provides direct care as part of the interdisciplinary team and coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Delivers nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care. Includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Assessment: collects comprehensive data; performs age- and disease-specific assessments; recognizes status changes; identifies education needs based on age, disease, and cultural differences.
• Planning: develops and coordinates a plan of care that is patient/family-centered and encompasses the continuum of care.
• Implementation: communicates, coordinates, and implements the plan; provides ongoing communication with patient/family and health care team; performs age- and disease-specific care; provides patient/family education; documents events; adheres to established protocols; performs continuous documentation; ensures safe medication delivery with bar-scanning and related technologies; coordinates multi-disciplinary discharge planning.
• Evaluation: evaluates progress toward outcomes; uses critical thinking to achieve desired outcomes; initiates interventions for changes in condition.
• Additional responsibilities include identifying ethical issues, enhancing patient satisfaction, maintaining competencies, and adhering to professional standards and organizational competencies.

  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  
  BSN in progress or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire; six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience or active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• The ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability, teamwork, ongoing education, and patient-focused care.

• Licenses and Certifications
  
  Required:
  
  New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License; AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers within 60 days of entering position.

Starting at $45.2 per hour. HMH is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate is a good faith estimate of the minimum base pay and may not reflect the full value of the total rewards package.
