Registered Nurse - West Medical

Overview

Registered Nurse positions at Hackensack Meridian Health, including the 5

West Medical unit, with part-time status and benefits.

Location:

North Bergen, New Jersey. This role focuses on direct patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care and supporting patient and family teaching.

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients and participate in patient and family teaching for an assigned group of patients.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary, nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Direct and oversee the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• Coordinate patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.

Education,

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• BSN in progress and/or willing to acquire within three (3) years of hire.
• Six (6) months or more of relevant nursing experience OR active participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong sense of accountability for improving lives of patients and caregivers; strong teamwork; commitment to ongoing education; and ability and passion to deliver high-quality patient care with a patient-focused approach.

Education,

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• National Certification in area of specialty (preferred when eligible).

• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire.

Minimum rate: $45.20 hourly. Hackensack Meridian Health is committed to pay equity and transparency. The posted rate is a reasonable good faith estimate of the minimum base pay and does not reflect the full value of our total rewards package.
