Overview

Nurse Manager - Maternal Child Health/Labor & Delivery/Post Partum/Nursery- F/T Days at Hackensack Meridian Health, North Bergen, New Jersey (Palisades Medical Center).

• Responsible for the provision of high-quality nursing care compliant with federal, state and local regulations.
• 24/7 accountability for the assigned unit(s); manage daily operations, interprofessional collaboration, and execution of policies and procedures.
• Financial management, development of strategic projects, support of growth, and enhancement of patient and staff experience.
• Assess, plan, implement, monitor and evaluate nursing practice and the nursing care delivery system with direct supervision of front-line staff.
• Participate in development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care, goals and objectives related to patient care, quality and organizational initiatives.
• Lead and participate in committee work with clear performance improvement goals aligned to the mission, vision, and philosophy of nursing and the organization.
• Review complaints or opportunities for improvement with timely follow up, including service recovery as needed.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Three (3) years' experience as a Registered Nurse
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs, strong accountability for improving patient and caregiver lives, teamwork, ongoing education, and commitment to delivering high-quality patient care

Education, Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities

Preferred:

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• National Certification in area of specialty (preferred when eligible)
• 3 years progressive leadership experience

Licenses And Certifications Required:

• New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse License
• AHA Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS HCP) Certification

Starting at $ Annually. The posted rate is a good faith estimate of minimum base pay and does not reflect total rewards package.
