We are currently partnering with a growing healthcare organization in the North Bergen area on a Senior Accountant opportunity reporting directly to the Controller. This is a well-rounded role offering strong exposure across accounting and finance, with clear visibility and growth potential.
Key Responsibilities- Own month-end close activities, including general ledger and reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP
- Conduct account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity
- Prepare and analyze key financial metrics and revenue trends
- Present monthly financial analysis to business leadership and collaborate on forward-looking expectations
- Review and interpret insurance carrier data, including contracts, commissions, and policy activity
- Partner with other departments to resolve accounting issues and improve financial processes
- Support forecasting, budgeting, and ad hoc financial projects
- Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements across accounting functions
- 5+ years of total accounting experience
- 2+ years with a Top 10 public accounting firm (preferred) plus private sector/corporate accounting experience
- Strong Excel skills (advanced proficiency required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Bright, driven, curious professional looking to grow within the organization
