Let's Be Friends!

At Ko-Kwel Casino Resort, there's nothing better than being around your friends, and that's exactly the atmosphere we want to create here. We want team members to feel like they're welcomed with the unique experiences and growth we can offer. Come be part of the special atmosphere and hospitality of the hotel, or the welcoming, fun and friendly character of the restaurants and casino.

Join our team in its dedication to be the leading destination for gaming and hospitality on the beautiful, southern Oregon coast!

Why this job matters

As the first friendly face guests may see as they enter the venue, you set the stage for great times at our casino bar. You keep the energy flowing by greeting guests warmly, helping them find their perfect spot, and keeping the bar stocked, clean, and running smoothly. From supporting bartenders and cocktail servers to making sure every guest feels welcome and every glass is sparkling, you're key in creating a seamless and memorable experience.

What

you bring to the table
  • Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
  • Keep the bar fully stocked with everything from glassware to garnishes so service never misses a beat.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting bar, storage, and work area throughout your shift.
  • Jump in with a sense of urgency to support bartenders and cocktail servers whenever they need an extra hand.
  • Greet guests at the door, check IDs with professionalism, and help manage the flow into the bar.
  • Assist guests in finding the right seating for themselves or their group to kick off their experience on a high note.
  • Keep an eye on crowd levels to ensure the space feels lively but comfortable, helping maintain order at the door when guests are waiting.
  • Buss tables, rotate glassware, and handle dishes to keep the bar polished and ready for the next round of fun.
  • Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)
Physical stuff to know

We've included the typical physical parts of the job here. If you need an accommodation to do the work, just let us know-we're here to support you.

You’ll need to be available to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when we are busy. During your shift, you’ll be on your feet standing for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use your hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently with the ability to maneuver a full keg of beer, carry cases of bottled beer, bend, twist, reach and otherwise be physically limber as duties necessitate.

Occasionally sit. It's important to stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people. Just a heads‑up—the casino environment may expose you to secondhand smoke.

This is a quick summary of the main duties and requirements-it might not cover everything you could be asked to do.

Must-haves, nice-to-haves, and maybe some bonus points
  • Friendly and approachable attitude that helps guests (and the team) feel welcome and cared for every day.
  • Experience helpful but not required. Must be able to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must have valid OLCC permit and working knowledge of OLCC regulations.
  • Must have a food handler's card and meet health, safety and sanitation standards at all times.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform your duties with a minimum of supervision and handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Comfortable communicating clearly and positively with both guests and teammates.

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort is owned by the Coquille Indian Tribe. Team members are eligible for a comprehensive health care benefit, generous time off policy, 401-K retirement with 4% company match and other benefits
