You'll wash and learn in this role with growth opportunity. Facilitate high standards of commercial laundry production and linen supply for hospitality, food & beverage outlets and other businesses.

• Make sure the space stays safe, clean, and friendly for both guests and the rest of the team; speak up and report any safety concerns to the Safety Committee.
• Separate soiled linen while using the proper safety procedures.
• Weigh soiled linen to ensure correct amount of linen is loaded into the washers.
• Load and unloads washers and dryers.
• Empty dryer lint traps as needed.
• Feed linen into the flat iron or small piece folder.
• Stand and fold linen by hand.
• Prepare linen for delivery.
• Wrap table linen using industrial wrapping equipment.
• Wipe and sanitize equipment, carts and surfaces; vacuums, sweeps and wet mops floors.
• Read and understand safety data sheets (SDS) and safety policies.
• Operates washers and dryers using basic settings appropriate to linen type and load size.
• Jump in where needed to support the team and keep things running smoothly. (Other duties as assigned)

During your shift, you'll spend a lot of time on your feet standing and walking. You'll be reaching and lifting with hands and arms. You need to hear instructions and speak. There is occasional sitting;

you will use hands to finger, handle or feel; you may kneel, crouch or crawl. This role requires regular lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving 25-50 pounds, and may occasionally push or pull loaded linen carts of up to 600 pounds for 10-20 feet on flat surfaces with or without assistance. Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

You will process linen and complete tasks within prescribed time limits and should stay calm and make good decisions under pressure, especially when dealing with stressful situations or upset people.
