Overview
The Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.
Weekend Shift AvailableWeekend shift availability is required.
Responsibilities- Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals
- Oversees and coordinates warehouse processes such as receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products
- Directs work assignments to employees
- Provide daily hands-on support in Material Handling and Forklift responsibilities
- Drives compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives
- Brainstorms and suggests new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor
- Communicates professionally, both orally and written, to internal and external partners
- Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assists in finding solutions to problem areas
- Ensures efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
- Trains new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs
- Ensures the warehouse is clean and orderly; includes organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping the warehouse, and assisting in staging orders for delivery
- Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place
- Assists in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager
- High School diploma or GED required
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
- Experience with Warehouse Management System
- Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Good visual acuity to inspect shipments
- Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report
- Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received
- Strong time management, organizational, planning and self-motivation skills
- MHE experience or desire to learn MHE
- Must have attention to detail
- Must have excellent customer service skills
Base hourly rate: $27.00 per hour. NFI takes into consideration applicants qualifications, experience, education, and geographic location when determining starting pay.
