Warehouse Supervisor – North Aurora, IL

Overview

Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Supervisor Logistics is responsible to supervise, coordinate, and oversee the logistics operations and provide coaching, development and training to staff members. The successful candidate must be able to provide recommendations for improvements to the facility, equipment, machinery, and processes, and ensure that staff performs to standard and achieves business objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise, coordinate and oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations.
  • Plan and review, in collaboration with the Logistics Manager, all logistics processes, ensuring that they meet company standards and customer service specifications.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities of the workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics.
  • Account for site Key Performance Indication (KPI).
  • Work in collaboration with customer in all aspects of operations.
  • Meet regularly with team members collectively, as well as individually, to monitor progress, track performance, coach and counsel, and recognize successes.
  • Promote a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and seek opportunities to improve internal processes.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and recommend awards or merit increases.
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process.
  • Understand labor agreement and maintain positive labor relations with all employees.
  • Implement health & safety and security initiatives, practices, and policies.
  • Provide orientation for employees and Lead Hands with information, technology, and materials necessary to perform their jobs.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution environment (preferred).
  • 0 to 1 year direct supervisory/leadership experience required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred.
Compensation
  • Salary: $65,000 per year, paid twice per month.
  • Schedule:

    Monday–Friday, 3:30 pm–12:00 am.
  • Exempt / Salary based.
