Description
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials as well as conferring with equipment vendors and soliciting observations from operators.
Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods in an electronics environment.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work‑flow space and equipment layout.
Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, tooling, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.
Conducts time studies, advises staffing requirements and other related cost information for management decisions.
Confer with planning and other engineering staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
Work with quality team to ensure equipment and processes conform to ISO requirements, develop machine programs and processes, and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.
RequirementsProduct and process development knowledge.
- Ability to deal with complexity
- Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures
- Use of ERP and MES systems along with basic 3D printing of fixtures
- Ability to work independently and with manufacturing staff.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years Manufacturing related experience
