This position is purpose-built for a Tekla detailer or steel modeler who understands constructability and wants to step closer to the commercial engine of the business - directly influencing how projects are priced, won, and successfully delivered.
🔍 What You'll Be Doing- Using Tekla Structures as the single source of truth for quantity take-offs, material lists, and labor assumptions
- Translating constructible 3D steel models into accurate, disciplined cost data
- Working alongside senior estimators during live bids and learning bid strategy in real time
- Preparing bid packages, detailed cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation
- Supporting projects from bid stage through execution, ensuring clean, well-structured handovers to operations
This is not a model-only role. You will be developed to think in cost drivers, risk, efficiency, and margin - not just geometry.
🧠 What They're Looking For- 3+ years' experience in Tekla Structures / structural steel detailing
- Strong understanding of structural steel fundamentals and constructability
- Comfortable extracting quantities and converting them into logical cost assumptions
- Basic to intermediate Excel / MIS skills (macros helpful, not essential)
- Bonus: Exposure to Power Fab or similar estimating / ERP platforms

Detailer → Estimator → Senior / Lead Estimator
You will be surrounded by experienced estimators, receive hands-on mentoring, and be given increasing responsibility as your commercial capability grows.
🎁 Package- $75,000-$85,000 base salary
