A high-volume Emergency Medicine locum tenens opportunity is available in North Adams, Massachusetts, with a strong need for morning and night coverage. Providers will float between two nearby facilities in a collaborative emergency department setting.

• Physician Shift Lengths Available: 8, 11, and 12 hours

• Providers will float between two facilities

• Total ED Beds: 32

• Annual ED Volume: 55,000 visits

• APP Coverage:

• Admissions:
  Performed by hospitalist or admitting service

• ED Admission Rate:
  Approximately 30%

• ED Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and supervising paramedics/ambulance via radio

  • Deliveries sent directly to Labor & Delivery

• On-Call Physician Response Time: 30 minutes

• Meditech

• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) - Required

• Active Massachusetts Medical License - Highly Preferred

  • MA-licensed providers will receive priority

• BLS, ACLS, ATLS - Required

• Clean background for quick credentialing - Required

• Local providers only (no flights) - Required
