Requirements:
- Two years of FT custodial experience
- Experience with Building maintenance and plumbing systems
- Able to work with little supervision
- Abe to work cooperatively with others
- Good communication Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish Preferred
- Keeps building and premise, including sidewalks, driveways and play areas neat and clean at all times; performs building cleaning tasks as necessary or directed by supervisor
- Monitors heat, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure temperatures are appropriate to the season and to ensure economical usage of fuel, water, and electricity
- Shovels, plows, and sands walks, driveways, parking areas, and steps, as appropriate; maintains cleanliness of grounds
- Checks daily to ensure that all exit doors are open and are operating properly during hours of building occupancy
- Makes minor repairs; reports all major repairs to supervisor
- Maintains all mechanical equipment
- Reports any damage to school property to supervisor
- Remains on the premises during assigned hours
- Opens or closes building as appropriate to shift; makes sure that all doors and windows are secured, and that all lights, except those left on for safety reasons, are turned off before leaving the building at the end of assigned shift
- Arms and disarms security system, as appropriate to shift
- Moves furniture or equipment within buildings as required for various activities and as directed by the supervisor
- Complies with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and waste
- Performs related duties as assigned
Pay Rate:
$26.39/HR
