The Retail Associate provides friendly, efficient customer service, maintains a clean and well‑presented store, and supports day‑to‑day operations across all store areas.
Essential Functions- Practice safe behaviors and maintain a safe environment.
- Greet customers, make eye contact, smile, and say "hello" and "thank you."
- Assist customers at registers and throughout the store.
- Handle customer issues courteously and call leadership when needed.
- Represent and support the Ross brand at all times.
- Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep the store tidy.
- Execute daily sizing, recovery, and merchandising of new merchandise.
- Adhere to Loss Prevention programs and store protection standards.
- Safeguard confidential information, cash, and merchandise.
- Follow all policies for cashings, returns, voids, and bankable tenders.
- Demonstrate efficiency and productivity throughout the shift.

Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership; basic math skills typical of retail environments.
Physical Requirements / ADA- Use store equipment, registers, and PC.
- Stand, walk, and move 100% of working time.
- Bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop regularly.
- Occasionally push, pull, and lift over 25 lb.
- Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Stockroom shifts may require lifting over 20 lb.

CompensationBase pay range $15.00 – $15.50 per hour. The range depends on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. Total compensation includes additional rewards that vary by position and location.
