Starting Hourly Rate: $17.50 USD per hour. Pay Range: $17.50 USD - $26.25 USD per hour.

Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to create a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve concerns

• Promoting and engaging with benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are the same. A typical day will include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with tasks
• Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
• Know the tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Know and discuss Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and best practices
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain features and offerings within the Target App, including Wallet
• Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering; assist guests to enroll, activate and use these features
• Handle returns following store policies; collaborate with Leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area and assist with stocking during store hours
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pickup, Drive-up orders and returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws
• Perform other duties based on business needs

• Willingness to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to use handheld scanners and other technology; operate across multiple devices
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

Basic expectations

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 44 pounds occasionally
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Ability to remain mobile for scheduled shifts
• Capacity to work in varying temperatures and conditions while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
