Temporary Group Fitness, F45, or Yoga Instructor (SPRING)
Using a variety of teaching and motivational techniques, this position will create a positive exercise experience. The instructor teaches, leads, and motivates groups through intentionally designed exercise classes, plans effective, exercise science‑based sessions for different fitness levels, and employs motivational and leadership techniques to help classes achieve fitness goals. The instructor also assists with facility support and other duties as assigned.
Instructors must understand the human body, exercise science, and how to inspire, challenge, and motivate change in participants.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must be able to train all ages and special populations.
- For Yoga applicants: must obtain 200‑hour yoga training through a Yoga Alliance RYS
200 school within 6 months of hire. - For Group Fitness applicants: must obtain a certification accredited through the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) within 6 months of hire.
- If certification has been obtained, attach to application.
- Regular exposure to disagreeable conditions, extreme temperature changes, odors, and hazardous chemicals.
- Lifting and carrying loads up to 50 pounds.
- Excessive use of arms in a back‑and‑forth motion, stooping and bending.
- Prolonged standing and walking.
- Must be at least 16 years of age as required by FLSA.
- May have constant exposure to loud noises.
- Group Fitness Instructors certified through an NCCA accredited organization such as NETA, ACE, AFAA, ACSM, or NSCA.
- Yoga instructors certified through a Yoga Alliance RYS
200 school.
