Job Function
Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned lawn and garden equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager or Shop Foreman. Maintains professional communication with all company locations to insure information flows in an appropriate manner.
Essential Duties
1. Performs basic lawn and garden equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed, if required.
2. Performs basic lawn and garden equipment repairs as requested by the Service Manager/Shop Foreman.
3. Participates in all job-related training and development.
4. Prepares all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
5. Maintains current product knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
6. Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
7. Maintains a clean and organized work area and practices good safety habits.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

- 1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
- Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures.
- Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment.
- Ability to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functions.
- Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required.
- Good Safety Habits
- Valid drivers license required.
