Nutrition Services Dietary Aide

Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care is hiring a Nutrition Services – Dietary Aide (Part Time, 1pm–9pm) in Norman, OK. The role supports the food service team to deliver a positive and healthy dining experience for residents.

• Understand and follow guidelines for food handling and storage for all raw and prepared foods.
• Test and record temperatures of hot and cold foods and the storage areas; report negative results to the Nutrition Services Manager.
• Properly discard expired or contaminated foods.
• Perform and enforce hand washing, glove use, and hair restraints.
• Comply with infection control and universal precaution policies and use required protective wear during daily tasks.
• Follow methods to control cross‑contamination during food preparation.
• Prepare food according to standardized recipes, production worksheets, and special diet requirements.
• Use tools such as spreadsheets, prep‑at‑a‑glance guides, and production guides to ensure timely and accurate meal production and portion control.
• Ensure foods are served within meal hours and that quality, temperature, and appearance are maintained.
• Serve meals following facility methods with correct portion control and plating guidelines.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment and work areas daily and as scheduled.
• Set up and clean dining rooms, including rolling flatware, setting tables, and maintaining condiments and centerpieces.
• Store, chill, and reheat leftovers for later use; clean and arrange food storage areas.
• Assist other department staff as needed to ensure timely production, service, and clean‑up.
• Complete kitchen close duties (PM shift) as assigned by the Nutrition Services Manager or the cook in charge.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Food handlers’ card required.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Fundamental understanding of sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with co‑workers, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
