Position: Patient Care Technician (PCT ) - NICU - Part Time - Days

Compensation / Benefits

  • $13.21-$21.58/hr based on previous work experience
  • Evening differential $1.50/hr.
  • Night differential $1.75/hr.
  • Weekend differential $1.75/hr.

Departmental Overview

Norman Regional Health System Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is a 25 bed Level III unit with a Neonatal Ground Transport Team. We focus on family‑centered care. We have 5 Neonatologists on staff. We have a special team of Neonatal Nurses. Our mission is to serve our community as the leader in health and wellness. We do so by providing a positive and compassionate attitude toward our families, and co‑workers.

Job Summary
  • Provides basic patient care.
  • Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment.
  • Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse.
  • Provides general nursing care and routine treatment/procedures.
  • Facilitates processing of patients.
  • Provides clerical receptionist support.
  • Provides coordinating support.
  • Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department.
Qualifications Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Certification as a nursing assistant or 6 months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
Experience
  • Six (6) months of recent experience as a nursing assistant.
  • Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant or one clinical semester of nursing school or successful completion of an acute care nurse aide course; or six (6) months previous experience in a healthcare position can be substituted for the experience.
Licensure/Certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re‑training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained through re‑training for duration of employment.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
Schedule
  • 8 hr shifts Wed/Sat 9‑5 / Sunday 8‑noon.
