Are you an experienced PICU nurse seeking a high-impact travel assignment? Verovian Healthcare Recruitment Agency is hiring a Travel Contract Registered Nurse - Pediatric ICU (PICU) for a leading healthcare facility in Norman, Oklahoma. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and compassionate nurse to provide critical care to pediatric patients while enjoying the flexibility and rewards of a travel contract.
As a PICU Travel RN, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team caring for infants, children, and adolescents facing life-threatening conditions. If you thrive in fast-paced, high-acuity environments and want to make a difference in pediatric critical care, this contract is for you.

- Provide expert nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the ICU
- Monitor and assess vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamics
- Administer medications, IV drips, blood products, and manage ventilators and other life-support equipment
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and child life specialists in developing care plans
- Respond to rapid changes in patient conditions with advanced clinical interventions
- Educate and support families through complex medical situations and care plans
- Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety, and hospital protocols
- Active RN license (Oklahoma or compact license)
- Associate Degree or BSN in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or pediatric critical care experience
- BLS and PALS certifications required (ACLS preferred)
- Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure, team-oriented environments
