Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Stewardship-Advancement Initiatives, the Stewardship Specialist provides operational and administrative support for the OU Foundation 's Advancement organization. The specialist supports and provides strategic vision for the operational needs of the Foundation 's fundraising team. This professional partners with development professionals across OU campuses and Foundation staff to ensure appropriate processes and practices related to a stewardship program that celebrates OUs donors.
They work closely with other members of the OU Advancement team to coordinate, organize and steward managed donors and prospects for all gifts. This is an on-site role in Norman, Okla.
Education/Experience requirements are specific to the role and include a bachelors degree in communication, marketing, public relations or a closely related field and 24 months of office administration/operations experience in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Experience creating curated/bespoke strategies for fundraising and stewardship, with development/advancement software and an understanding of communication and stewardship programs that support fundraising in a higher education environment is preferred.
Responsibilities- Provide operational and administrative support for the foundation 's advancement and fundraising activities.
- Coordinate, organize and steward managed donors and prospects for all gifts, in partnership with the OU Advancement team.
- Ensure appropriate processes and practices related to stewardship programs designed to celebrate OUs donors are followed.
- Collaborate with development professionals across OU campuses and Foundation staff to support fundraising initiatives.
- Bachelors degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or a closely related field.
- 24 months of office administration/operations experience in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment. Will consider an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience creating curated/bespoke strategies for fundraising and stewardship (preferred).
- Experience with development/advancement software (e.g., Agilon or similar fundraising software).
- Understanding of communication and stewardship programs that support fundraising in a higher education environment (preferred).
